CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design), is a design exam that is conducted annually, giving a chance to the many creative individuals, to apply for that master’s degree they really want. This exam has 2 parts. One is the drawing part and the other is the aptitude. And, you’ve guessed it, neither of them is a piece of cake. You’re gonna have to roll out some papads for this one!
Anyways, if you’re reading this blog then you would know that IIT Bombay is the host institute, but there are many other institutes that offer admission based upon the CEED results. So, you’ve got a couple of options.
Now, to get into the enemy camp (just kidding btw), you need to know the entire map, right? Well, that’s the case with the CEED exam too, and we’re giving you the map!
Part-A contains objective questions of three types: Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), and Multiple Select Question (MSQ).
Answers to Part-A have to be given on the computer. These will be design aptitude type questions that evaluate visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation and design sensitivity of the candidates.
Part-B consists of five questions that are aimed at testing design, drawing and writing skills.
The questions in Part-B will be displayed on the computer screen and the answers are to be written in the answer book provided by the invigilator (NOT into the Computer). However, you need to tick the appropriate box on the computer screen to indicate that you have answered the same. Part-B answer books will be collected at the end of the examination.
Yep, so that was all about the secret question paper structure map that is essential to know before you enter the exam battlefield. Just kidding! But do remember to use this as an aid to guide you while you are studying for the exam. Especially if you are in a hurry and need to quickly prepare for the exam.
